Rarely has a project been as exciting as the one currently underway on Obere Donaustraße: Not only is construction inside and around the building itself progressing rapidly, but we’ve also reached another milestone in the geothermal energy project. We are proud to announce: The first pipe has been laid into the Danube Canal in the shaft structure!
What this is all about…
The work over the past few weeks has focused on ensuring a sustainable energy supply for our residential complex DAS ARTMANN, using the heat and cold from the Danube Canal’s river water.
Naturally, countless preparations are necessary for this water-to-water heat pump to function. Countless drill holes, various pipes, numerous hours of work, and a great deal of dedication from our hardworking people on site make it possible…

Current Situation at the Start of the Week:
Plant construction is in full swing—a total of 4 (2 x 850 MW, 2 x 600 MW) heat exchangers, water pipes, and empty pipes E have been installed. The shaft structure has now reached its final depth, and the bay in the Danube Canal for the pipes in the canal has been excavated…

And then the moment had finally arrived: the first pipe was laid in the Danube Canal!

What happens next—find out here 🙂
In addition to updates on the construction progress—which we keep you up to date on via our blog—you can find on our project website, DAS ARTMANN, you’ll find all the information about the property itself, such as the apartments still available, the construction and finishing specifications, and, of course, the floor plans.
