In collaboration with the high-end magazine and coffee-table book AURUM 999.9, we decided on the spot in April to turn our residential development project on Obere Donaustraße into an event venue.
“The Embassy of Good Taste” — a very special series of events
The Aurum 999.9 MagBook aims to showcase the finer things in life: Weighing 1.5 kg, this magazine is designed to be a timeless and sustainable publication; it is published four times a year and can be found as a decorative home accessory on many coffee tables. Publisher Reinhard Neussner and his team are dedicated to celebrating the beautiful and luxurious aspects of life, and last year they began organizing events to bring the MagBook’s content to life in person. CUUBUUS has been more than just a partner for quite some time—we’re also enthusiastic readers of the magazine ourselves. So it was only natural for us to collaborate…
Exclusive events in a stunning venue
In April of this year, the time had finally come: CUUBUUS served as host and made our residential development project, DAS ARTMANN, available exclusively as an event venue for four weeks: In our historic brick building at Obere Donaustraße 19, a handful of exclusive private dinner events were held in collaboration with Aurum under the theme “The Embassy of Good Taste.”
Four Weeks of Art and Culture
In a truly exclusive and very intimate setting—limited to just 22 guests per evening, with a black-tie dress code—these elegant dinner events were accompanied by outstanding musicians, and the penthouse’s Artspace also showcased exceptional works by artists. “We’re always on the lookout for extraordinary venues that aren’t usually available for events. In the penthouse of this historic building on the Danube Canal, we had the opportunity to personally showcase all the beautiful things we feature in the Aurum 999.9 MagBook,” said publisher Reinhard Neussner about his project.

Events While Construction Is Underway
It’s well known that CUUBUUS’s core business is not events, but rather high-quality residential construction projects. Nevertheless, from the very beginning, we were convinced and excited by the idea of supporting the event series as co-hosts, so we took on the challenge. Hosting a private dinner on 16 evenings, all while construction was underway—admittedly, no easy feat. Because one thing was clear: just as exclusive as “The Embassy of Good Taste” was meant to be , we had also committed our residential construction project to precisely this same standard of quality. The condition—and thus the challenge for everyone involved—was therefore to avoid causing any construction delays under any circumstances.
Of Bentleys and wings soaring through the skies
And then it all began… Various luxury brands such as Bentley, Wienlicht, LAUFEN, and Steinway & Sons were tasked with furnishing the venue, transforming the penthouse into a showroom that would also double as a stage. Where at that time there was still only a shell and typical construction site activity, the entire second attic floor was brought up to scratch over the course of several intense weeks: Walls were torn down and quickly rebuilt, parquet floors were laid, lamps were installed, doors were hung, terraces were landscaped, and red carpets were rolled out.

And as if that weren’t enough (luxury), a Bentley was hoisted into the penthouse by crane without further ado, just like a high-end Steinway & Sons grand piano, which also had to be transported into the penthouse somehow without being damaged.

Once the setup is complete, it’s time for the event
The big day was approaching… Where, until recently, construction debris, the noise of drilling, and cables had dominated the scene, there was no trace of any of that just a few hours before the event began. Golden ribbons, floral arrangements, artwork, appetizers, a pianist, and catering—everything was in its place, and the penthouse shone as if it had been lived in for weeks and had always been furnished that way. The work of the past days, weeks, and months had paid off. Thanks to the immense dedication of an incredible number of hardworking people, numerous volunteers, the perfect organization, and—last but not least—the remarkable composure of both our lead architect and site manager, Ben Lehner, and the event organizer and mastermind behind the entire event series, Reinhard Neussner—we were able to welcome the guests to the opening night just in time. The event kicked off successfully; the first of a total of 16 dinner evenings went off without a hitch on the construction site—er, stage.

A table of distinguished guests every evening
The Embassy of Good Taste truly lived up to its name. In addition to the venue itself and the breathtaking view from the penthouse of our ARTMANN, the culinary delights prepared by Marco Simonis in collaboration with Aumaerk, paired with wines from K+K Kirnbauer, also delighted the guests. Furthermore, on each evening of the event, visitors were thoroughly impressed by the musical performances at the grand piano as well as the exhibited artwork by various artists such as Helmut Grill, Nana Mandl, Alice Ella, Artcare and its artists Michi Lukas, Thomas Vava, Aklima Iqbal, Derek Roberts, Louise Deininger, Danielle Pamp, Domenika Szczot, and Alex Ruthner. Among the distinguished guests from the worlds of business, art, and culture, we were honored to welcome Arabella Kiesbauer and Florens Eblinger, Alexander Knechtsberger, Toni Faber, Rebecca Horner, Siegfried Meryn, Ursula Simacek, Liane Seitz, Karin and Franz Peckal, Kerstin and Manuel Ortlechner, as well as representatives from premium brands such as Dior, Lamborghini, Wienlicht, American Express, Schotten & Hansen, and many more.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our partner, AURUM, and Reinhard Neussner for their excellent collaboration, as well as to all our partner companies for the wonderful setup of the penthouse as our event venue.
Last but not least, a big round of applause and a heartfelt thank you go to the CUUBUUS team, who played a key role in ensuring that DAS ARTMANN not only stayed perfectly on schedule as a residential construction project, but also—almost as an added bonus—made such a remarkable and exclusive series of events possible and ensured that everything ran smoothly. A fantastic achievement—hats off to you!
